Waiting for Vinitaly 2007
Around 4.300 exhibitors will be at the 41th edition of one of the most important wine fairs in the world: , to be held in Verona, Italy, from 29th March to 2nd April.
Offering more than 84,000 square meters of wine exhibits, an increase over the last event thanks to a new pavilion (7B) which follows the pavillions number 10 and number 11. An increase of spaces which is not enough to satisfy all the potential exhibitors apparently.
In particular, this time sees a noticeably increase in the space allocation for foreign wineries, specifically for those coming from Spain (with ) and France (with ). On the other hand, there is a return of countries like California and Hungary as well as a confirmation af all the wineries of the past years. India and Georgia will be the new entries.
Vinitaly is the exhibition with one of the most high growth rate of its sold surfaces: 5% versus 1-2% of the other specialized fairs. High also the number of contacts for exhibitor: more than 30 versus 11-15 of its competitors.
I am off there right now! Should keep me busy…
