The Ideal Valentine’s Day Evening: Dinner at the Musée du Vin in Paris

Musée du vin I will probably be home sipping some sparkling Vouvray on Wednesday,  but if I had my choice of any Valentine’s Day dinner in the world, I would certainly whisk my husband off to Le Musée du Vin in Paris.

This year, the museum is offering a special Valentine’s Day dinner. The unforgettable evening will include a candlelight dinner, music by a “romantic Slavic trio,” and a visit of the museum. “A rose will be gifted,” specifies the approximately translated presentation of the soiree.

Love is everywhere in the wine choices, from a “Cuvée Erotique”  to, rather predictably, a St. Amour Beaujolais. The price for this celebration of romance and wine is 90 euros, or about 116 dollars, per person — which seems reasonable enough considering the menu and the venue.
