Yahoo Food - anything for the wine lover?

Yahoo Food Wine GuideYahoo has launched its food and drink portal. As Everything Rachel Ray reports “Yahoo Food includes some original content, but also includes content “from partners, including Martha Stewart Living Omnimedia, Wolfgang Puck, Everyday with Rachael Ray, Food & Wine, Epicurious, Cook’s Illustrated and Reader’s Digest.” Rachael’s recipes are prominently featured on the Everyday page of the site” It is of course all geared to the US - thanksgiving, how to cave a turkey, table steetings and such.

Is there anything for the wine lover though?

From the front page it isn’t that easy to spot anything wine focused at all; until the wacking great banner at the top changes to 10 Party Wines that is! (This content is taken from Food and Wine Magazine )

Recommendations include Toques et Clochers Crémant de Limoux NV ($16), 2004 Wild Bunch California White ($10) and 2003 Finca Antigua Tempranillo ($10). It takes a while of course to ‘learn’ a sites navigation but the wine guide is a touch on the difficult side to discover. Once found though content abounds. Basically though if you already read the wine section from Food and Wine Magazine then there is nothing original here to read…
